| She was is madly in love with that truck. I used to think that she loved it more than me. I am sure that the pain from the loss will last much longer than the bruises. | |

| I'm keeping that signature pic....seems kinda MORE appropriate now, huh? Angel and all.
Yes, I admit, I am a closet Jeeper. I have a lot of decisions to make in the next couple weeks. I have a lot of looking around to do and don't want to get attached to ANYthing the way I was to Pete. Hell, I have a diamond "X" around my neck!!! My Xterra was ME. I don't think I've gone an hour (except for sleeping) since the crash, that I haven't cried about never having my X with me again. (shoot, typing that got me going again)
I know it sounds silly. I'm just sad. :( Thank you all for your kind words....I'm fine.

| Sorry to hear about what happened. I am glad you and the other driver are ok. I know the feeling about something that has been sooo good to you. I hope you find something that fills your heart with just as much joy. | |

| Went to clean out Pete today. It was the saddest day ever. Mike (sarge) and Tom (junkyard) helped us. It was tearful, although they all got me to laugh at some silly thing or another. The full impact of just how hard it was hit was apparent in the discovery of some pretty twisted/broken things on the inside. The drivers seat was crooked and the center console that I hit my hip on was out of whack. The shifter and the panel it was in was buckled and twisted. The whole inside was slightly "off". It made me even more sad....but glad that I was protected. Here are some more pictures. It scared me more to see the truck today than when it happened. It looked much worse on flat ground in the sunlight than the other morning. I miss my truck. :( | |

| Wow, that was heartwarming and very touching.....I have relatives like that...you never quite know what the quote means, but you just have to hope it was a compliment.
Thanks for your sentiment. I;m better today than yesterday and hope it just keeps getting that way. | |

| i agree with my dad nuts and bolts can be replaced but you can not , one thing my dad didnt mention is that he ordered a ford f250 back in the early 90s when i was little just way he wanted it metallic blue paint , had 33s and a warn winch bumper and it got hit then hit again and they replaced the frame and it rode great then it got hit again and it was never the same again but he loved that truck but it was an accident magnet as time goes by you will find another love... glad to hear you and the other driver are ok | |

| Thanks!!! I found a 1999 Chevy Blazer that you'd think was brand spankin' new. CHEAP! Almost the same color as Pete. AND there are lifts for them!!! Whooo-hoooo!!! I went to a Blazer forum and cannot BELIEVE how nicely modified they can get! I'm glad I have it, but it's no Pete. I dreamed all last night about driving Pete. :( | |

| This is obviously NOT a picture of my Blazer....but IDENTICAL to it. Same color, same trim, same year, same everything. Mine looks this good too.....which is nice. It drives like a dream and has the greatest interior. I am getting more and more excited about it, as I found a Blazer forum with a LOT of 4dr (which I thought was kinda soccer mom-ish at first) Blazers that are all kinds of modded out and lifted. Chris and I found a 6" lift kit for it. They're expensive but I'm paying HALF the monthly payment than I was paying with the X and it'll be paid off in a year. (I wasn't done with my payments for Pete until 2012!) | |

| What about........ ......A Jeep? Paying 1/2 what I was, I'll have plenty of xtra to save for a trail rig. Craig's List and the RC forum ALWAYS have something. ......Wheeling? Well, you'll have to donate a day where I can take that sweet K5 of yours out! (heheheh yah, riiiight) ......Everyone being jealous I have a cool Blazer? Okay, we all know I just got knocked down several rungs on the cool ladder.....but what the hell. | |
