| Ok so last month I was driving in PA. I was pulled over by a local police officer and he issued me a repair order (not a ticket) for my Jeep. Now my car is registered in Maryland. The officer told me it didn't matter and that I had to take care of it and bring it to the local PD for them to inspect. Since I do not live in PA i decided not to do anything about it. Yester day I recieved almost $1000 dollars in fines and a court summons for what happened. I pleaded not guilty to all of the charges but I will have to go to court. Now my question did the officer have the jurisdiction to write a repair order that for a vehicle that is not resistered in the state. My Jeep is legal in Maryland. If you all could chime in and let me know what you think that would be great, if there are any lawyers or law enforcement that could throw in their opinion thaty would also be awesome.

| What did you get the inspection order for. The only thing I know that is legal in Maryland and not in PA is driving with your doors off.
This is only hearsay but guys in Maryland that get inspection tickets in PA have to go to court to get them thrown out or pay the fine. The fine for doors was about $107. I know no one that has done this.
hope you make out with this.

| I dont see how PA can do this..
Its like PA requires brakes on both axles of a trailer yet MD doesnt... So can they pull me over and cite me for that??
I would call your local State Trooper office and ask them..

| I am going to go to court and fight the fines. It was for tint, worng size tires and for tires outside the body line. The tint is maryland legal and the tires are legal by MD laws. | |

| Let us know what you find out. I know that my jeep is by no means legal to drive on the streets in PA. | |
