Okay, My wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is acting up. It's been too long since it's last tune up. Today Im getting ready to change the plugs in it. Im worried that this is not going to fix the problem. It starts up every morning, but after letting it run for around 15 min driving or idling it will stall on me. I have even drove it to work and started to slow down for a red light and it stalled on me. now everytime it does this it takes around 10 min. to start it again. within those 10 min. it will crank the whole time but just wont fire up. I was hoping someone had some other idea's on what i should be looking at.

Take it too Autozone and let them scan the codes for you. they do it for free. Let me know what the codes are..

We have seen alot of the Idle control module going out on these.. The crank position sensor is a calprit too but usually it wont start at all when they go out.. Since its starting and then stalling consistantly the cam position sensor could be going in and out..

When it stalls and then eventually starts do you have to hold on the gas pedal until it relearns the idle???

If you were closer I would scan them for you...

there is no check engine light on and I do have to give it gas until it's idling properly again. This cam position sensor how hard is this to replace. Im sure I could do it I just dont have much confidence when it comes to stuff like this. Thanks
