PostSubject: Safety Safety Safety   Safety Safety Safety EmptyMon Jan 18, 2010 9:52 pm

Just wanted to post a thread and copy a important message that Matt Happick brought to the attention of the Creepers. Matt is one of the Creepers that I have cooresponded with a few times and is a fellow wheeler that I tend to check out alot of his threads and ideas..

Please check out the thread and remember to always buckle up before putting the rig in gear. We all have done this and I too was a dumb azz last year and wheeled a few times without my harness's on. I have checked out board helmets a few times in the past year and I am definitely gonna get one for me, Tina and the kids. I have on numerous times cracked my head on the cage and I plan to have everyone put them on.

In the very least make sure your seat belts are on before you put the rig in gear..

Here is Matt's thread with a awful story of a fellow wheeler and his incident.

affraid Holy cow, I hope he recovers well. Must have been insanely scary.

I don't want to be the one to point out the obvious, but WTF was he thinking?

most people that don't wear their seat belts on the trail also don't wear them on the street. It should be a habit put on the belt and then start the Jeep

I dont agree with that.. I never not wear them in the truck but I hate wearing the harness'es in the jeep.. I wont not wear them again..

So every time you jump in the jeep at camp and drive over to the comp course you put them on????

Every time you are on a green trail and you are in and out spotting for others you put them on????

Yes I do. I have forgoten somtimes when I get all excited but for the most part I wear it all the time. Now I just have a seat belt not a full harness a racing harness is a PIA the way it buckles. I also turn my jeep off when I get out and put it in gear. I like it when they go without the driver.

There is not alot of spotting on green trails there easy Safety Safety Safety Lol

You only have to get out on green trails to spot newbies who get stuck between two trees because she follows her father anywhere lol!

Now that was funny.. I laughed out loud...

I have not said one word about the Ford deal for weeks.. I have been very supportive of your illness, I mean need of a 7.3......

I just have to realize that some guys never learn and will always be glunt for punishment... and I except that in you Ford fans...

On that note.. I must really have a illness or I just love my Duramax that much.. I dropped it off last night at Koons to get the issue with the trailer lights working.. (by the way, it was a fuse and I didnt tell them my master tech at Fallston fab must of missed it) and to get the fuel filter changed..

I drove my dads 97 to work today, which was one of my old trucks and I loved it, but when I got back into my Duramax I know why I will never buy another brand or gas motor..

Its like driving in a Cadillac, BMW and Corvette all mixed into one...

I keep challenging you to drive it for a couple days but thats like trying to get a alcoholic to go cold turkey..............

Here we go again........... I didnt start this one.. remember that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I represent those remarks.................well, some of them anyway!!

Excuse me but I don't remember actually checking any fuses on your DirtyMax but I do have a recollection of suggesting that a fuse might be the cause!!!

Don't ask me how I know these things because you see when I hook a trailer up to my Ford, the lights always work!!!!!!!!

awww no.........

Ask your son if you didnt pull the fuses on my truck the day I picked the trailer up and you had replaced a few bulbs on the trailer....

We had the owners manual out and everything... OH, maybe that was the problem, we were using instruction manuals... we even pulled your multi meter and checked a few things..

I truely appreciate the help, but I also like busting your balls too..............

and buy the way.....How many times have you had to push my Chevy out of the way and hook another up to go wheeling?????

lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol!

I got home tonight and hooked it up to see if they really fixed anything and the lights did light up if i pull the plug back out alittle bit.. I think the actual plug on the truck is coming apart when you push the trailer plug into it.. Im gonna replace both just so I dont have issues.. I have already been pulled over once for the issue.

I know its a automatic but my Duramax is really, really nice. So I am finally on Matt's side here (still like the jeep to be a manual). I will drive this duramax till it dies and then buy another. (only have 60k on it so it will be awhile) Twisted Evil
