battery Empty
PostSubject: battery   battery EmptyFri Mar 06, 2009 5:39 pm

04 TJ, 4 banger
I won an optima yellow top battery and just got it delievered. Easy part is hooking it up but the old battery which is 5 years old still cranks. Was thinking about keeping it and daisy chaining it for future use, backup or maybe when I eventually get a winch. Any ideas how I can accomplish that?

Thanks - gave me a path to follow. Not as easy as I thought. Didnt realize you couldnt daisy chain per say without regulators and switches and crap.

Its not really that hard but its not really worth it if you do not have alot of equipment running. My last jeep had dual batteries with a switch over but I do not plan to do the same with the new one.

The yellow top will have alot more reserve capacity than a oe style so you will see the benefits if you install.
