I was going over the NHTSA website to keep up on any repairs I may need to do to the TJ and came across this.

I HIT A TREE HEAD ON AND THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THIS RESULTED IN INJURIES TO MY FACE AND CHEST. THE FORCE WAS SUFFICIENT ENOUGH THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS BENT AND THE STEERING COLUMN IS BEING REPLACED. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY UNDER REPAIR

It makes you wonder hmmm was it off road or on road
ah what the heck what the insurance doesn't know won't hurt them
