Rausch Creek 1/2/2010

First Trip of 2010 and boy was it cold 17 deg without the wind chill. As always we meet at Tom's on 83 headed up to the Goose for breakfast and was at Rausch about 8:30. It was Mark and his boys Josh and Jake, Stacey and myself. At Rauch Joanthan who posted on Rausch's fourm that he was looking to ride with somone meet up with us. He had a Lexus Land Cruiser on 35's. We stuck to the green trail at first to get the feel for the snow and made our way to the west property. Off of 11b there is a new trail 23 which is rated blue I started into it and went through the ice and could hardly see the top of my tire took a while to get it out but I was able to drive it out. It was too cold to get wet so will will save this trail for a warmer day. from there we did 19,14,10 then headed to the south property doing trail 5 on the pole line we all took the center line but Joanthan toke the left side up. We play in the quarry did on climb that I fail to make and Mark almost made it and Joanathon made it with some trouble this guy could drive it would do good on the comps. We headed back over to the east side and did trail 1 and headed back for the end of the day. We also ran into some old friends and stop to talk to them Bill,Nester,little Matt, and Nick. I have to say I had a blast the first time out on the trails. I was glad to see Josh when I pulled up to Tom's. I was very grateful for the advice out on the trail. I believe if there was a rock I was able to find it and hit it. I will have to perfect me skills, but the underbody armor was well worth the money. I can't wait for another trip but I am waiting for a warmer trip.

sounds like a good time.i cant wait to get the hell out of here and get back to the states and spend some of this gov money on the jeep.i will be ready to go the first of april so count me in

Jason first of april we are going to coal creek Tenn. it should be a blast.
