Front axle questions..

So how much of a PITA is it to change the universals in the front axle on my D30?
I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but with no garage, time and experience with it, I'm lookin for some advise.
Problem is that it sounds like the universal in my driver side is going out. It's really noisy when making low speed, tight turns. Sounds like a clicking and grinding.
I don't have CV's, so I'm guessing the universals are shot.

Rather just swap in a D44, but the money tree isn't growing yet.

U joint is pretty simple... Can help you there but the garage part I cant.... Let me know if you tackle it...

Thanks for the links! Looks like it may be easier than I thought.
Might try to see if my dad will move a car out of the garage so I can pull in there sometime next month.

Did you do this yet? I dont have a garage but a carport... Now that the weather is nicer we could do it there. Let me know.

I actually think it's my u joint on the drive shaft. It just squeeks, and annoys me when the windows are down.
