Hello all Empty
PostSubject: Hello all   Hello all EmptyFri Sep 18, 2009 9:30 am

Just wanted to officially introduce myself.

My name is Brian and I live down the street from Tom (FallstonYJ). We actually met each other through business ties and did not realize how close we lived to each other.

I am 42 and have two boys, 11 and 13. Both are in Scouts and play sports so they keep me busy!

When I get the time I wheel and wrench on my 1984 CJ7. Currently it sits on 3" of lift with a 1" body lift and 31" MTRs. Since buying this CJ several years ago I have replaced the stock 4.2 with a 4.2 from an 85 CJ that was rebuilt, 30 over, cam, 4.0 HO head, etc... I built and installed MegaSquirt fuel injection using the MPFI parts from an XJ. The most recent change was to replace my T5 trans with a Ford T18a. I took it out to the last RCRocks comp and wheeled the next day. The granny low was great, but I have to stop trying to find 5th gear when I am driving on the street. DOH!!

Near future changes I want to make; real front and rear bumpers (Tom gave me the card of one of the members here, I think Chris was his name), even with 3.31 gears I think the T18 will let me step up to 33" tires with no problems. Then maybe I will clock the D300 and get a flat belly skid plate.

Here is a picture from last year's Sept Big Dogs weekend. I am bummed I could not make it this year but I am just too busy. I am leading our Troop's camping trip next weekend and need to get things ready for that. Hopefully I will get out in October, maybe the KGB run.

I finally got the cage you sold me painted and am ready to install it (rattle canned it but it looks good). Just need 5 minutes to myself... lol! Picked a Warn M8000 today. So hopefully I can get this stuff done soon. Also trying to figure out how to relocate my speakers (soundbar) with the rear cross bars from the rock hard cage.

So you took the bars off the factory cage and put them on your cage right??

That factory cage is cut in the rear for my raised rear quarters. It wont work in your jeep. You just needed all the bars that were part of the rock hard kit, right??????
