Does anyone here know a good place to get something sand blasted and powder coated? My rock rails have seen better days. The old powder coat is flaking off and they are starting to rust. I'd like to get them fixed up before the cold weather hits. Thanks.

Dash Gauges

I have an intermittent dash gauge problem. The spedo and tach occasionally go to zero and the "airbag" light comes on. Less frequnently the remainder of the gauges go flat and all the "warning lights" come on. I plan on pulling the gauge cluster tommorow night at work and cleaning the contacts on the wiring harness. Any other suggestions would be helpful. BTW it is a 98 TJ. Most of the time when this happens the gauges can be fixed by pounding on the top of the dash.

What are the possibilities that an overfilled engine could cause a crankshaft bearing to burn up? I don't think it is true, but that is what the dealer is saying. If so then why just one and not more then that. Any input would be awesome.

I have a couple of stupid questions. (remember that I have the mechanical ability of a five year old) I was under my Jeep today (98 TJ) just looking around after changing the oil. I found a hose coming off my front diff. that ran up towards the engine but it was capped with a white plug. What was I looking at and should it be hooked to something? It is kind of just hanging there. Also I just put new fender flares on and had to remove the plastic inner fender wells in the back to get the flares ...

Need a reality check:

I installed the 4" lift, 35" tires, had an alignment done, replaced the stock steering stabilizer (OME) and fixed the rear track bar and I guess that I was expecting to have a slightly rougher than stock , but smooth ride on the road.

My stock steering was firm and relatively forgiving and I never felt the anxiety of loosing contact with the road, but now I've got lateral wobble from 35-45 mph, the steering almost over-reacts to my touch and during ...

Hi everyone, I'm hoping that someone can help me with this. First, the particulars: 2007 Rubicon just fitted with 4” Superlift and 35x12.50s. Next, the problem: While driving to work this morning, someone flagged me down and said I was dragging something – the something turned out to be my rear track bar! The stock mount is deformed and the weld totally sheared, but the bracket is still intact.

So my question is, after I buy the new mount, what is involved with installing it – just ...

I won an optima yellow top battery and just got it delievered. Easy part is hooking it up but the old battery which is 5 years old still cranks. Was thinking about keeping it and daisy chaining it for future use, backup or maybe when I eventually get a winch. Any ideas how I can accomplish that?
