Well, the rain cought Paul, Anita and I after we set up the main tent and had everything in place, but man it rain for 5 hours. But we fire up the grill and things got on their way. The following pictures are from Saturday morning round up and drivers meeting. I got to say that this place is huge, and I only saw the stage area and camp sites thoughout the park. John Hunt is a very involve man with this park and he has run this place for 64 seasons, can you imagine that?

The Jeep went wheeling for the first time today and for real this time not just into a mailbox. We are down Ocean City for the 4th and decided to bring the Jeep. We decided to take it to Assateague Island for an off road trip. We stop to get our permit and were handed a map that had needs to know when going off road. I started to read the instructions, which included reducing tire pressure to 15 PSI and so on and so forth. Of course we did not have a tire gauge since I am a novice at wheeling. ...

Most of the plans we had talked didnt come together but as usual we made some compromises and made the best of it. I do want to thank Tom (Fallston YJ) for putting in some crazy hours the two weeks prior to help me get my jeep, his jeep, the comp sign and everything else ready for the weekend.

We started off Friday with a late start but ...

We missed alot...

So what was your favorite moment from the race?

I can think of several. And they all involve people I've come to know and admire for their competitive spirit. To see them in action against some of the East Coast's finest to earn the right to go to California was incredible.

The start itself was enough to take your breath away. All the planning Bruce did. and after several teams took off, to turn and see him with the hugest smile ever was priceless.

Well seeing the rain has stopped I had a chance to check out the damage to the trailer. I appears when the bearings when it took the axle with it. The rear shoulder the bearing slides on is missing on the bottom side. I now begin the quest to find a replacement. I may have to buy it new, that will set me back a couple hundered between the axle, hub/drum, new brakes and 4 new tires. If anyone one knows of one it is a Dexter 6k and uses the hollow center wheels, looks like a mobile home axle, ...

Tom, Tommy, Jason, Tina and I made it to the creek today and had a fantastic time. After waking up to downpours and running late we managed to get to the park and unloaded by about 9:30. Tom's rig was just picked up from Appalachian last night and is now towering over all our rigs.

We headed up the tower line and the smile on Tom's face as he walked the first climb up the little play area on the tower line was worth the entire trip. I headed to trail 5 and started thru the rock faces and ...

Well the Rock Raiders broke in a new trail yesterday at Rausch.. Chris and I were looking for Chris Taylor and Pattey when we found out they were finished for the day due to a locker issue and we ran into Tommy the trail guide at the park. Tommy asked us if we wanted to run a new trail he had just cut and of course we said yes..

He had mentioned it was a blue trail but I think his mind changed real quick once he watched us tackle it as he walked the trail and left his jeep behind..
